What do I do if my parcel does not arrive?
All our parcels are sent with tracking information and very few packages go astray. If your order has not reached you within the estimated delivery period, it could be for the following reasons:
The carrier has experienced a delay.
The carrier has tried to deliver and has left you a calling card – check with the depot.
Your parcel has been left in the ‘safe place’ as per your order instructions.
If you have any concerns regarding the delivery of your socks please contact us on 01608 658 742.
How do I exchange an item?
If you wish to exchange your socks, please return them unused within 14 days and if you could include £3.95 towards the return postage, this will help to keep costs down. Obviously, if the fault is ours we will replace the socks without hesitation or cost. Return Address: Corrymoor Mohair Socks, 3 & 4 The Green, Bledington, Oxon OX7 6XQ.
How do I return an item for a refund?
It is important to us that you are 100% delighted with your Corrymoor Socks. If you are not, we’ll do everything possible to fix it for you. In line with ‘The Consumer Contracts Regulations’ you have a right to cancel your order within 14 working days of receiving your purchase. This 14 day period begins the day after you receive the items from us. Please notify us in writing within 14 working days that you wish to cancel your order and that you intend to return the item(s) and we will be happy to offer you a full refund including any standard delivery charge (except for the supplementary costs arising if you choose a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us). Overseas orders will be delivered by your country’s international postal service. The parcel is fully tracked and a signature will be required on delivery.
Will I be charged customs and import tax?
Please be advised that for all non-UK countries, there may be taxes, fees or other charges that you will be expected to pay. We recommend that you check with your local customs office before placing an order as these charges will vary from country to country. We do not have any control over these charges and they may change from time to time. Your order could be destroyed or returned to us if these local import and custom charges are refused or not paid by you. We will only be able to offer a refund if the goods are returned to us undamaged. We would not be able to refund any original postage costs paid and can only refund for the returned products minus any costs incurred in returning them to us.VAT
20% VAT is included in the price where applicable. Customers in all non-UK countries (including the Channel Islands) are exempt from VAT and these charges will be deducted during the checkout process.

Why not choose to have your socks without the cardboard sleeve. For many years, repeat customers have chosen to receive their socks with reduced packaging. We will still offer this option – Please request this during checkout in the comments box.
Our packaging is responsibly sourced and FSC credited- New packaging we order will be via the Carbon Capture Scheme.
Please note: We do not recommend this option if you are a NEW CUSTOMER or if the socks are a GIFT as it contains the washing instructions, style and fibre content etc.

Here at Corrymoor we are always looking to reduce our carbon footprint. Where possible we try to use sustainable products that can be recycled/composted in your household waste.
“Since we began making socks in 1991 the mohair fibre and ingredients of your Corrymoor Socks haven’t changed… but detergents and washing machines have.”
Washing Tips –
Wool wash using the Wool Cycle at 40°C or less.
Use a gentle spin (most wool washes will incorporate this into the cycle anyway). It is not heat but agitation that can upset your Corrymoors.
Do not tumble dry.
If possible, try to use a mild detergent which is formulated for natural fibres and is recommended for mohair, silk and wool (e.g. Woolite, Persil Silk & Wool).
Wash dark colours separately at first.
A Bit of Science and tips on washing –
Mohair is a fibre made up of the protein keratin (like your own hair, silk, wool and other animal fibres). The scales of the mohair fibre are flattened and overlay each other giving a smooth surface (unlike wool). This gives mohair its silky soft handle and high lustre. It also gives your Corrymoor Socks their unique hard-wearing, anti-bacterial (no smell), wicking and non-felting properties. Mohair has a much greater resistance to shrinking and felting than other natural fibres, but it finds it hard to resist the action of the protease enzymes found in many of the “low temperature” detergents. Sadly, the enzymes cannot tell the difference between dirt and the protein fibres of the mohair. Over a long period of time this can result in a weakening of the mohair in your beloved Corrymoors.
Having said that…
Corrymoors are very tough and forgiving and are dyed in water which reaches boiling point, this is then followed by rinsing AND spinning AND tumble drying.
